I conduct fundamental and applied research in cryptography, security, privacy, machine learning and AI. Most of my recent work was funded through grants from DARPA and other US government agencies.
I have a Ph.D. from Stanford University and a Masters degree from The University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, both in electrical engineering. I attended college in India, where I received my undergraduate degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Pune University.
I have previously worked at the National Center for Radio Astrophysics (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Pune); Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) in Cambridge, MA; Xerox PARC in Palo Alto, CA; and SRI International in Menlo Park, CA.
